Paramount Bumps Up 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' Release Date
Well, it worked with the first two, so why stop now? Deadline reports that Paramount Pictures has officially moved up the release date for 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' from its original Friday, July 1, date to Wednesday, June 29. Doesn't come as much of surprise since Paramount did the same thing with 'Transformers' and 'Revenge of the Fallen,' but aside from being a clear ploy to turn this into the biggest cash cow of year, it's a pretty smart move; 'Cars 2' opens one week prior on June 24, and 'Harry Potter and the Death Hallows, Part 2' follows two weeks later on July 15.

They Walk: Disney Releases Poster for 'The Muppets'
What do you see in the kinda creepy poster featuring the Muppets standing around in a pose that's a cross between 'The X-Files' and 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit'? Feet. Hot dawg, the Muppets have feet. Is this a harbinger of the CGI Muppet world to come -- or just artistic license for the poster? Lady Gaga's Monster Ball Tour Breaks Record for Debut Headlining Artist
Lady Gaga wraps her lengthy Monster Ball tour tomorrow night (May 6) in Mexico City, bringing to a close the biggest tour ever by a debut headlining artist.
Dating back to November of 2009, Lada Gaga's 200 reported Monster shows grossed $227.4 million and drew 2.5 million people, according to numbers reported to Billboard Boxscore. Depending on how several other tours shake out this year, Monster Ball is flirting with becoming one of the top 10 highest-grossing tours of all time.

Most sites smartly turned down the offer; however, several pages from the shooting script surfaced online anyway after one site opted to photograph them to prove the offer was legitimate.

The highly anticipated second sequel to Michael Bay's 'Transformers,' 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon,' opens July 1, and Paramount/DreamWorks has released a brand new trailer.
The film stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Patrick Dempsey, Tyrese Gibson, John Malkovich, Frances McDormand, John Turturro, Kevin Dunn and Julie White.
This time round the Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and learn its secrets. Naturally, the Earth (well, at least Chicago) sees the brunt of the fighting -- and destruction.

Filming Begins on 'The Avengers,' Chris Evans Wraps Up 'Captain America' & 'Thor' Leaks Early
Cameras starting rolling today on the superhero movie to end all other superhero movies, 'The Avengers.' Director Joss Whedon confirmed the news on Whedonesque, an online community dedicated to the 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' creator.

'American Idiot,' the 2004 Green Day album that gave rise to the Broadway musical of the same name, is about to spawn yet another form of entertainment: a movie.
Universal Studios is in talks to turn the one-act musical into a feature film directed by Michael Meyer, who directed the Broadway show. The screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, who recently wrote 'J. Edgar,' the Clint Eastwood movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio as the controversial FBI head, has been tapped as a possible screenwriter. Black won an Oscar for his script for 'Milk.'

David Cook to Headline NARM Awards Dinner
David Cook adds another event to his agenda in the weeks leading up to the release of his much anticipated second album. The "American Idol" season 7 winner will headline the NARM (National Association of Recording Merchandisers) Convention awards dinner, taking place Thursday, May 12 at the Hyatt Regency Century City Hotel.
According to event organizers, he's scheduled to play four songs. Tyrese Gibson and Matt Nathanson will also perform at the event.
At the dinner, "American Idol" will also receive an Outstanding Achievement Award from the music trade association, recognizing album sales in excess of 45 million and downloads in the hundreds of millions. Idol judges and contestants have been invited to participate in the presentation.
"We're thrilled to have such an eclectic and talented lineup of performers to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our 2011 NARM award winners," Jim Donio, president of NARM, said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to an evening of great music and also the pleasure of honoring these outstanding artists and executives, whose work exemplifies the very best of our industry."
Cook's sophomore album, "This Loud Morning," will be released by 19 Recordings/RCA Records on June 28.

Rihanna, Eminem, Lady Gaga Lead Billboard Music Awards Finalists
Rihanna takes the lead as a finalist in 18 award categories, including Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Female Artist, Top R&B Artist and Top Dance/Electronic Artist. "Love the Way You Lie," her chart-topping collaboration with Eminem, places her as a contender in six song categories.
Meanwhile, Eminem is a finalist in 16 award categories, including Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Artist, Top Male Artist and Top Rap Artist.
Lady Gaga follows as a finalist in 12 categories, with three releases all competing for Top Dance/Electronic Album: "The Fame," "The Fame Monster" and "The Remix."
